About me

Hey there, I'm John.

In my life I've been a tank crewman, a data analyst, an author, illustrator, self-publisher, and proud fan of all sorts of games and works of fiction.

But my favorite roles have been as a husband and a father.

Back in 2018 I re-discovered a long-lost passion for table top role playing games. I was spending many long nights trying to get my first children's book illustrated, and I found this strange YouTube show called Critical Role.

Shortly after that I picked up D&D 5th Edition, and almost immediately got my wife and daughter - then 9 years old - deep into the hobby with me. Together we've shared magical adventures, thrills, spills, and growth, all with some pencils, paper, and satisfying clickity-clackity math rocks. We already shared a love for board games, now we also share a love for make believe worlds and shared storytelling!
